Anthaenantia lanata (Lanilla) is a species of perennial grass in the family true grasses. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Cerrado, Puerto Rico, Tocantins, Mato Grosso, Roraima, Ceará, Pará, ParaíBa, SãO Paulo, Rio Grande Do Sul, Piauí, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Maranhao, Bahia, Amapá, Santa Catarina, The Neotropics, GoiáS, Paraná, Minas Gerais, Caatinga, RondôNia, Amazônia, Pernambuco, Mata Atlântica, and Distrito Federal. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.3 m.
