Elymus violaceus (Slender Wild Rye) is a species of perennial herb in the family true grasses. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Greenland, North America, The Contiguous United States, Canada, Western North America, United States, and Alaska. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.49 m.
