Lycium barbarum (Matrimony Vine) is a species of shrub in the family nightshades. They are climbers. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They have simple, broad leaves and berries. Flowers are visited by Mops bat, Bombus lucorumterrestris, Early bumblebee, and small white. Individuals can grow to 2 m.
