They are native to SãO Paulo, Cerrado, Santa Catarina, Mato Grosso, Espirito Santo, Rio De Janeiro, Mata Atlântica, GoiáS, Rio Grande Do Sul, Acre (Brazil), Paraná, Mato Grosso Do Sul, RondôNia, Amazônia, and Minas Gerais. Flowers are visited by Planalto Hermit, Fork-tailed Woodnymph, Dusky-throated Hermit, and Reddish Hermit.
