Myrmica rubra (European Fire Ant) is a species of Hymenoptera in the family ants. They are native to Northern Europe, Russia, Ireland, central europe, Ukraine, Poland, and United Kingdom. They visit flowers of Bog Star, Taraxacum tenejapense, St. Anthony's turnip, and hedge nettle. They are diurnal.
