Sphagnum capillifolium (Red Bog Moss) is a species of woody mosses in the family Sphagnaceae. It is native to Rio de Janeiro, Mata Atlântica, Amazônia, Pampa, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Bahia, Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul, Espirito Santo, and Mato Grosso do Sul. It is a photoautotroph.
