Aquilegia formosa (Western Columbine) is a species of perennial herb in the family Ranunculaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, Alaska, and Western North America. They have simple, broad leaves and red flowers. Flowers are visited by Anna's Hummingbird, California Bumble Bee, Rufous Hummingbird, and Western Tiger Swallowtail. Individuals can grow to 3 feet.
