They are native to Uganda, Zimbabwe, Madagascar, Yemen, Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, India, South Africa, Lesotho, Malawi, Swaziland, Somalia, Mozambique, and Angola. They have simple, broad leaves, yellow flowers, and berry. Individuals can grow to 9.2 m.
