Acer is a genus of shrub in the family Sapindaceae. They are climbers. They are native to Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, The Contiguous United States, and Canada. Flowers are visited by Picoides pubescens, Tamias striatus, Tamiasciurus hudsonicus, and Banchus. Individuals can grow to 24 m.
