Trichilia hirta (Broomstick) is a species of tree in the family Meliaceae. They are climbers. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to AmazôNia, U.S. Virgin Islands, Mata Atlântica, Cerrado, Caatinga, and Puerto Rico. They have compound, broad leaves, white flowers, and capsule fruit. Individuals can grow to 38 feet.
