Trema micrantha (Florida Trema) is a species of shrub in the family Cannabaceae. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, US Minor Outlying Islands, the contiguous United States, Ceará, Pará, Maranhao, Roraima, Amazônia, Goiás, Pantanal, Alagoas, Pernambuco, Acre (Brazil), Cerrado, Rio Grande do Norte, Distrito Federal, São Paulo, Sergipe, Santa Catarina, Paraná, Rondônia, Espirito Santo, Mata Atlântica, Pampa, Rio de Janeiro, Paraíba, Minas Gerais, Amapá, Mato Grosso, Caatinga, Mato Grosso do Sul, Bahia, Rio Grande do Sul, Amazônia, Tocantins, and Piauí. Florida Trema has simple, broad leaves and green flowers. It is a photoautotroph.
