Carduus pycnocephalus (Italian Plumeless Thistle) is a species of annual herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They have simple, broad leaves and achenes. Flowers are visited by small white, Euphydryas chalcedona, Orange Sulphur, and Anthidium chilense. Individuals can grow to 0.29 m.
