Pagrus és un gènere de peixos pertanyent a la família dels espàrids.[3]

Descripció

  • Cos oblong i comprimit.
  • El perfil superior del cap és convex amb una molt lleu gepa davant dels ulls.
  • Presenta escates a les galtes i l'opercle.
  • Llavis més aviat gruixuts.
  • Té 46 dents semblants a les canines.[4]

Reproducció

Hom creu que totes les espècies són hermafrodites.[4][5][6]

Alimentació

En general, són carnívors.[7][8][4]

Hàbitat

Són peixos litorals o costaners sobre fons diferents.

Ús comercial

Tenen una carn de bona qualitat i es comercialitzen frescos, congelats o en forma de farina de peix.[4]

Pagrus è un genere di pesci ossei marini appartenenti alla famiglia Sparidae.

Distribuzione e habitat

Tutte le specie sono presenti nelle fasce tropicali e subtropicali dell'Oceano Atlantico orientale tranne P. major che invece è tipica dell'Oceano Pacifico occidentale. Nel mar Mediterraneo vivono tre specie: P. auriga, P. caeruleostictus e P. pagrus.

Sono demersali e si trovano su fondi di varia natura, spesso in acque costiere o comunque non troppo profonde.

Pesca

Alcune specie, tra cui P. pagrus nel Mediterraneo e P. major in Giappone, sono pescate in abbondanza con reti a strascico e palamiti. Le carni sono eccellenti.

Zasięg występowania

Ryby z rodzaju Pagrus zasiedlają strefy przybrzeżne po obydwu stronach Oceanu Atlantyckiego, Ocean Indyjski i zachodnią część Oceanu Spokojnego.

Пагры[1][2] (лат. Pagrus) — род морских лучепёрых рыб из семейства спаровых отряда окунеобразных.

У пагров передние зубы напоминают клыки, а зубы в глубине рта плоские, предназначенные для жевания, и расположены в два ряда[3]. Длина тела пагров от 75 см (Pagrus africanus) до 130 см (Pagrus auratus)

Обитают пагры в Атлантическом, Индийском и Тихом океанах, а также они встречаются в прилегающих морях[4].

В водах России, в заливе Петра Великого, отмечен красный пагр (Pagrus major)[2].

Пагры хищники, кормятся рыбой и беспозвоночными. Являются объектом промысла[2].

Известны с раннего эоцена[5].
