Dicentrarchus labrax (Bass) is a species of ray-finned fishes in the family temperate basses. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to the Palearctic and Ethiopia. Individuals can grow to 110 cm. They have sexual reproduction. Reproduction is oviparous and iteroparous. They rely on swimming to move around.
