Diodon hystrix (Ajargo) is a species of ray-finned fishes in the family porcupinefishes. They are native to Indian Ocean, Pacific Ocean, The Nearctic, Atlantic Ocean, Ethiopia, Mediterranean Sea, and Oceania continent (Australia, NZ and islands). They are solitary, nocturnal carnivores. Individuals can grow to 100 cm. They have sexual reproduction. Reproduction is oviparous and iteroparous. They rely on swimming, pectoral fin swimming, and anal and dorsal fin swimming to move around.
