Diodon hystrix (Ajargo) is a species of bony fishes in the family porcupinefishes. They are native to Atlantic Ocean, Mediterranean Sea, Australia, The Nearctic, Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean, and Ethiopia. They are solitary, nocturnal carnivores. Individuals can grow to 100 cm. They have sexual reproduction. Reproduction is oviparous and iteroparous. They rely on swimming, anal and dorsal fin swimming, and pectoral fin swimming to move around.
