Scales in lateral line series above lateral band 48-52; predorsal scales 23-26; conical head shape, with a terminal mouth placed near a horizontal line crossing the center of pupil and the middle of head depth and lacks a pronounced angle at the retroarticular joint (Ref. 47314). Differs from O. bicudo by having smaller snout length, larger eye diameter, larger interorbital width and larger head depth (Ref. 47314).
