Hexanchus griseus (Bluntnose Sixgill Shark) is a species of modern sharks in the family cow sharks. They are listed as near threatened by IUCN and as of special concern by COSEWIC. They are solitary, nocturnal carnivores. Individuals can grow to 850 cm. Reproduction is ovoviviparous and iteroparous. They have parental care (female provides care). They rely on swimming to move around.
