Hyperoodon ampullatus (Northern Bottle Nosed Whale, Bottle Nosed Whale) is a species of mammals in the family Unidentified Ziphiidae. They are listed as near threatened by IUCN, as of special concern by COSEWIC, and in cites appendix i. They are native to Atlantic Ocean. They are solitary carnivores. Individuals are known to live for 444 months and can grow to 9 m. They have parental care (female provides care). They rely on swimming and lift powered swimming to move around.
