Periphylla periphylla (Helmet Jelly) is a species of cnidarians in the family Periphyllid. They are native to Atlantic Ocean, The Nearctic, Ethiopia, Indian Ocean, Asia, Pacific Ocean, The Neotropics, Mediterranean Sea, Oceania continent (Australia, NZ and islands), the Palearctic, and Antarctica. They are solitary carnivores. Individuals can grow to 145 mm. They have sexual reproduction. They rely on swimming to move around.
