Ocypodoidea is a superfamily of decapods. There are 447 species of Ocypodoidea, in 95 genera and 7 families. This superfamily has been around since the neogenen period. It includes groups like Heloeciidae, Camptandriidae, and Macrophthalmidae. They rely on drag powered swimming to move around.

Definition: Drag swimmers use a cyclic motion where they push water back in a power stroke, and return their limb forward in the return or recovery stroke.
