Heteroglypta contraria is a species of mussels in the family Psammobiidae. They are native to Gulf Of Aden, Mascarene Islands, Mozambique Channel, Natal, New Zealand Exclusive Economic Zone, Red Sea, and Mozambican Exclusive Economic Zone. Dead Heteroglypta contraria form shallow marine sediments. They have sexual reproduction.
