Heteroglypta contraria is a species of mussels in the family Psammobiidae. They are native to Mascarene Islands, New Zealand Exclusive Economic Zone, Natal, Mozambican Exclusive Economic Zone, Mozambique Channel, Red Sea, and Gulf Of Aden. They have sexual reproduction.
