Asaphis violascens (Forsskål ex Niebuhr 1775)

Asaphis violascens is a species of mussels in the family Psammobiidae. They are native to Mozambican Exclusive Economic Zone, Zululand, Mascarene Islands, Tanzania, and Seychelles. Dead Asaphis violascens form shallow marine sediments. Individuals can grow to 11 cm. They have sexual reproduction.
