Acanthocardia echinata (European Prickly Cockle) is a species of mussels in the family cockle. European Prickly Cockle form shallow marine sediments. It is a filter feeder. Individuals can grow to 56.261 g. European Prickly Cockle has sexual reproduction. It is a facultatively mobile animal.
