Acrosterigma transcendens (Melvill & Standen 1899)

Acrosterigma transcendens is a species of mussels in the family Cardiidae. They are native to Zululand, Mozambique Channel, Singapore, Mascarene Islands, Philippines Exclusive Economic Zone, Mozambican Exclusive Economic Zone, Sri Lankan Exclusive Economic Zone, Indonesian Exclusive Economic Zone, Seychelles, and Japanese Exclusive Economic Zone. Dead Acrosterigma transcendens form shallow marine sediments. Individuals can grow to 19.4 mm. They have sexual reproduction.
