Lithophaga nigra is a species of mussels in the family Marine Mussels. They are associated with freshwater habitat. Adult Lithophaga nigra form marine reefs. Dead Lithophaga nigra form shallow marine sediments. Individuals can grow to 65 mm. They have sexual reproduction. They are sessile animals.
