Mytilus trossulus (Northern Blue Mussel) is a species of mussels in the family Marine Mussels. Adult Northern Blue Mussel form marine reefs. Dead Northern Blue Mussel form shallow marine sediments. Individuals can grow to 25.6 mm. They have sexual reproduction. They are sessile animals.
