Nassarius arcularia plicatus (Röding 1798)

Habitat: muddy shore Thick shells, up to 3 cm, with transverse rows of large nodules (most prominent on shoulders of whorsl), the surface of whorls with noticeable fine axial ribs. Columella characteristically wide, glossy and flat. Colour yellowish-grey to chocolate-brown; aperture violet brown with a single white band. Habitat: shallow sands. Distribution: Indo-Pacific.
