The ancestor of many of our domestic geese. Wild Swan Geese occur in east Asia and Africa and have not been recorded in Europe. There are many domestic forms. These probably have Chinese origins. The African species is a heavier breed typically with a dewlap and differs in knob shape.Birtsmorton lake, Worcs.
