It's not often I get to see a Peregrine eyass this closely but this shot was taken at the banding of the three babies this spring. Their nestbox was outside the 18th floor of a virtually vacant downtown building. The three eyasses were brought inside briefly to be examined, sexed and banded, All three were healthy and subsequently fledged. Despite the downtown location, these babies were lice-free, which indicates the parents did not feed them pigeons, but instead flew farther to a park to get nice, clean songbirds.~Peregrine Place~
