Haematopus palliatus (American Oystercatcher) is a species of birds in the family oystercatchers. They are native to The Neotropics, Pacific Ocean, The Nearctic, and Atlantic Ocean. They are diurnal carnivores. They have parental care (cooperative breeding, paternal care, and female provides care). They rely on running and flight to move around.
