Colonies are meandro-phaceloid at the periphery, sometimes becoming submeandroid at the centre. Valleys are shallow with flat floors. Columellae are usually in two rows except at valley ends. Colour: usually brown or green. Valley floors and walls are usually of different colours. Abundance: rare, found on upper reef slopes protected from wave action.(Veron, 1986 )
