Galaxea astreata (Galaxea Coral) is a species of cnidarians in the family Euphylliidae. They are listed as vulnerable by IUCN and in cites appendix ii. Dead Galaxea Coral form shallow marine sediments. Galaxea Coral form marine reefs. They have alternation of generations, asexual reproduction, and sexual reproduction; they are broadcast spawners. They are sessile animals.
