Montipora hispida is a species of cnidarians in the family staghorn corals. They are listed in cites appendix ii. Dead Montipora hispida form shallow marine sediments. Montipora hispida form marine reefs. They have asexual reproduction, alternation of generations, and sexual reproduction; they are broadcast spawners. They have parental care (symbiont inheritance). They are sessile animals.
