Mytilus californianus (California Mussel) is a species of mussels in the family Marine Mussels. They are native to Pacific Ocean. Adult California Mussel form marine reefs. Dead California Mussel form shallow marine sediments. Individuals can grow to 530 mm. They have sexual reproduction. They are sessile animals.
