After reading the key it came to my attention that there was a key break :'Filament distal lobes 2, anther generally on thin stalk between lobes ' which if you look closely you can see, narrow acute finger like flags between which the anthers stand atop a short filament. Too cool!

The Loasaceae family is new to me, and the Blazing Star genus (Mentzelia)has a number of species. I hope I got this right!
