Description: April 5th, 2022 4:00PM High of 72 degrees Fahrenheit Low of 49 degrees Fahrenheit 71 degrees Fahrenheit at capture The first part of this day was rainy and cool, but the sun came out around Noon and quickly warmed things up, prompting me to go to a south-facing dolomite glade and look for animals. After being evaded by a coachwhip, I flipped a rock surrounded by cedars and tall grass in front of a fragmented ledge and found this ratsnake, and a crushed juvenile coachwhip. It is unfortunate that many local herpers are reckless on such sensitive habitat. Jefferson County, Missouri. Date: Taken on 5 April 2022, 16:36. Source:
