Description: November 11th, 2021 7:00PM High of 71 degrees Fahrenheit 59 degrees Fahrenheit at capture A rain system moved in along with a cold front in the afternoon, producing consistent rain with some heavy downpours into the evening. While scouting a road I thought had potential for salamander activity, I found this subadult snake crossing the paved road between deciduous forests, not far from a local park. I held onto it for pictures until the temperatures warmed up the next day then released it at a preserve about a mile away. Upon release it crawled into leaf litter, finding a rodent burrow which it then disappeared into. Anderson County, Tennessee. Date: Taken on 11 November 2021, 22:19. Source:
