Juncus castaneus (Chestnut Rush) is a species of perennial grass in the family rushes. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, Alaska, The Contiguous United States, and Greenland. They have simple, broad leaves and brown flowers. Individuals can grow to 1.5 feet.
