Textulariine foraminifera, test unilocular, globular, tubular or branching, may have globular proloculus and tubular second chamber or consists of loosely attached subglobular chambers; wall agglutinated; test usually free but sometimes attached and irregular, globular, domed or tubular (branched or unbranched) in shape; interior nonseptate or only partially subdivided but occasionally with complete partitions; families distinguished by test morphology and wall characteristics.
