Conidiomata. Pycnidial, solitary or gregarious, 90-135 μm high, 90-160 μm diam., ellipsoidal to subglobose, immersed or erumpent, ostiolate, short papillate or epapillate, coriaceous, thin-walled, brown to blackish, darkest and thick-walled around the ostiole; peridium 6-8 μm thick, up to 20 μm at the ostiole, usually composed of two layers of elongate, lenticular cells, dark on the outside, light-coloured near the venter, forming a textura angularis; papillae 10-25 μm high, 30-50 μm diam., conical; ostiolar canal filled with mucilage. Conidiogenous cells. About 6 × 6 μm, conical, colourless, lining the wall of the pycnidial cavity. Conidia. Ellipsoidal, 6-10 (-12) × 3-4 (-4.5) μm, mostly aseptate, but sometimes 1-septate, nor or slightly narrower at the septum, smooth-walled, colourless.
