This bee is possibly semisocial, but this is only based on one nest (Eickwort and Sakagami 1979). It is rare, and lives in Southern Brazil. Eickwort and Sakagami (1979) describe the first nest discovered: In soil of shaded vertical roadbank. The main burrow ended in a cavity which had a cluster of 13 vertically oriented cells. There were two adult females present.
