Chaetoceros socialis is a species of diatoms in the family Chaetocerotaceae. They are native to Rio Grande Do Sul, Maranhao, Pernambuco, Paraná, and SãO Paulo. Dead Chaetoceros socialis form siliceous oozes. Individuals can grow to 10 µm.
