Dryas octopetala is a species of shrub in the family Rosaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, Greenland, Alaska, The Contiguous United States, Western North America, and North America. They have simple, broad leaves, white flowers, and achenes. Flowers are visited by Platycheirus, Pseudosmittia oxoniana, Megaselia diversa, and Botanophila. Individuals can grow to 1 feet.
