Thorichthys aureus est une espèce de poisson de la famille des cichlidae et de l'ordre des Perciformes.
Répartition géographique
Thorichthys aureus est une espèce endémique d'Amérique centrale, elle se rencontre sur le versant atlantique de Belize (Golden Creek) et au Honduras dans le bassin de la rivière Motagua[1]. Au moins deux formes différentes de l’espèce sont connues[2].
