Sambucus canadensis (Canadian Elder) is a species of shrub in the family Adoxaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, Puerto Rico, and Eastern North America. They have compound, broad leaves, white flowers, and drupes. Flowers are visited by Spilomyia alcimus, Canadian Tiger Swallowtail, Attagenus piceus, and (page not found). Individuals can grow to 8.2 m.
