I captured one of these on Goldenrod about a week ago and could not get decent photos on that plant--the beetle just crawled down among the flowers and hunkered down. I placed it on various backgrounds, where it was calm, and finally found the aster in my garden looked decent. So here it is--is "sort of" natural habitat.-BugGuide--
