Thracioidea is a superfamily of mussels. There are 156 species of Thracioidea, in 24 genera and 4 families. This superfamily has been around since the artinskian age. It includes groups like Clistoconchidae, Lantern Clams, and Periplomatidae. Dead Thracioidea form shallow marine sediments. They have sexual reproduction. They are facultatively mobile animals.
