Xyris (Yelloweyed Grass) is a genus of grass in the family Xyridaceae. They are native to Eastern North America, Puerto Rico, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, The Contiguous United States, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, and Canada. Flowers are visited by Southern Carpenter Bee, Lesser Meadow Katydids, Flower Flies, and Augochloropsis. Individuals can grow to 1.4 m.
