They are native to Bahia, Amazônia, U.S. Virgin Islands, Pará, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, SãO Paulo, Mata Atlântica, Sergipe, Ceará, Maranhao, Alagoas, ParaíBa, The Contiguous United States, Rio De Janeiro, Caatinga, Rio Grande Do Norte, Amapá, Espirito Santo, Piauí, and Puerto Rico. They have simple, broad leaves.
