Cyperus articulatus (Jointed Flatsedge) is a species of perennial herb in the family sedges. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Bahia, Amazônia, U.S. Virgin Islands, Pará, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, SãO Paulo, Mata Atlântica, Sergipe, Ceará, Maranhao, Alagoas, ParaíBa, The Contiguous United States, Rio De Janeiro, Caatinga, Rio Grande Do Norte, Amapá, Espirito Santo, Piauí, and Puerto Rico. They have simple, broad leaves.
