Cyperus iria (Ricefield Flatsedge) is a species of annual herb in the family sedges. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Tocantins, Rio Grande Do Sul, ParaíBa, Amazônia, SãO Paulo, Pernambuco, Espirito Santo, Paraná, Piauí, Mato Grosso, Amapá, Santa Catarina, Acre (Brazil), Pampa, Caatinga, Rio De Janeiro, Rio Grande Do Norte, GoiáS, RondôNia, Distrito Federal, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, Bahia, Sergipe, Cerrado, Alagoas, Ceará, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Pantanal, Mata Atlântica, Minas Gerais, Maranhao, Roraima, and Pará. They have simple, broad leaves.
